Some songs for after the bomb.

"This music reminds me of the incredible book by Kim Stanley Robinson "The Wild Shore", which is a postapocalyptic novel. Aspects of Physics is a post-apocalyptic band. The guitars and electronics speak more to the depressive quality of technological entanglement than filling in the gaps of two incomplete and now-ordinary genres. Where other transcendent electrofuture groups create memorable moods that certainly navigate our woes of society, this album superbly makes a simple burnt landscape, remembering the days when we thought we understood life. I could be pulling all of this from my subjective experiences, but browse the booklet, artwork, and website (MP3it) of this band (of Jason Soares actually)... you will realize that Godspeed and Explosions in the Sky have muddied up their dystopian view of the modernism we endure with too much instrumentation and complexity. This band is right up there with Boards of Canada and Autechre. Their layout is much simpler but the effect is just as grand, if not better (oh, hierarchy!). Please, I implore you, AoP... KEEP CREATING MUSIC! if you're considering buying this record, go to website first."
