"I recommend this album and all of Mr. Bird's music wholeheartedly! I was unfamiliar with his skills as a performer until recently when I was privileged to hear him in person. I bought two of his albums and intend to buy more to give as gifts. The music on "Animal Totems" is excellent to either relax with, meditate,or contemplate the world. Track 8 - "Red Tail Hawk" is fantastically beautiful and poignant, the violin and piano combine for a wonderful mood piece."

"Went to a Native American Festival and listen to Arvel Bird play. It was unreal, the sound of his fidle is magnificent. We got several CD, Animal Totems 1 and 2, recommend both. So relaxing."
