Unknown best performances ever

"These recordings were probably made in the 1940s. Sanroma was a fabulous pianist who often played with the Boston Pops in these Gershwin works. You will not hear more exciting performances on any other discs. The sound quality is the only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Gershwin must be played with some abandonment but not insanity. Sanroma gets it just right as does Fiedler. Do not hesitate to grab a copy of this disc before there are no more."
