Now (2006) not many are available. Then, just when all hope was gone, the CC series bounces back with this winner.
One problem the CC set had was that the editors had taken on such an huge project that they got bogged down in worthless esoterica. They couldn't distinguish between what was aesthetically valuable, and what was simply historical curiosity. Plus, previously these discs were nearly $19 a pop. Now, those still available are more reasonably priced. Anyway, this disc of Tatum is #7 in the CC series which began with 1932. Get it while you can!!" |
