CD Reviews

Hypnotic, trance inducing!

"I do not normally write reviews. Well, this CD has such a trance inducing effect. I could never believe a music CD would would bring this great dreamlike feeling on you especially after a hectic and stresful day. Armik, the artist, is a phenomenal composer and player. Yes, there are other new flamenco players out there. Some of them really good (Ottmar Liebert, Strunz And Farah, Novamenco etc..). You appreciate Armik's performances more when you hear the other ones. In my opinion none has the feeling and artistry of Armik's compositions. This music is not greek (some reviewer had said that), not armenian, not middle eastern, not even spanish (although with a lot of hispanic influence from flamenco) but it is all of the above plus jazz, flamenco rythms and then some. Mixed and combined together with the virtuosity of Armik! Yes, it is new age music, no border, no nationality, simply heart touching rythms and notes. We are used now with music CDs having one, two, maximum three good songs and the rest boring. Not with Armik! ALL of the songs are great and over half simply EXCEPTIONAL! The recording is audiophile quality, better than anything else I have heard short of DVD audio. It would be extremely pleasing to have this CD (or any other Armik's CDs) in DVD audio and/or Super Audio CD format. I hope the author is considering this. I strongly recommend this author and particularly this CD. It sets a new and unsurpased level on musical artistry and enjoyment. Bravo Armik!"
Armik needs to read these reviews...

"I hope Armik reads the reviews that complain about his melodies being repeated in all of his CDs. It is true !! He is still a master guitarist and his melodies are beautiful, but repeated over and over ! I hope he realizes that it can and will affect the sales of his CDs !!"
Boring, no more originality

"I love Armik's first 3-4 CD's and than he ran out of the new ideas. This CD, like the last 3, has no hook song they all sound the same to me. Great musician, let other composers to help you to write a new, exiting staff. Armik needs more variaty of songs."
