"Sangreal is the most progressive release I've heard from AD (holistically speaking), yet it's not too aggressive. The album is a mixed bag, there are some newer ebm influences on most tracks, and a couple of older AD-sounding tracks that are very 80's sounding - something I can't quite get into. In my personal opinion, I think AD could really cut an all-out fantastic release if they broke completely away from their roots and did something purely experimental yet very ebm. :)



I would describe Sangreal as Front 242 meets Xymox - somewhat mechanical, yet a tiny bit gothy. Most tracks are up-beat and dancy, while the remaining cheesier tracks are slower (only a couple). Track #5 doesn't fit in at all with the rest of them...but it's still cool!..very techno oriented. Absolutely love track #7 - it's got a fast beat, catchy and sung in deutsche (I think thats my weekness).



Overall, I don't have anything really bad to say about Sangreal, it's all good. It's just not "all amazing"....but like my header reads, it's a marked improvement for AD!



Recommended for any ebm fanatic.
