CD Reviews

Crunchy goodness
Eric Hamen | Columbus, OH | 01/07/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If yr a fan of 80's style Midwestern skronk (ie Naked Raygun, Arsenal, Bloodsport, etal) you're doing yourself a tremendous disservice not owning the entire Arcwelder catalog. "Everest" is a great place to start. Angular and crunchy as hell, kind of like if Bob Mould was in Mission of Burma. Every song a gem."
A super band! Scott Macdonald is the King! A terrific CD!

"This is really a great CD. I love it, and you will, too. "Do Something Right," "A Ghostly Bishop," "All In Good Time," and "Will You Stay" all particularly stick in my mind. Besides Husker Du, I thought I sensed some Stone Roses influence on a few songs. I don't know; maybe it's my imagination."
Still kicks the stuffing out of the current "scene"

"Arcwelder sticks with their basic formula ( and a GOOD formula that is! )on their current release but manage to stretch themselves on tunes like "Will You Stay?" and "I Gave This Up For You" Why do idiots like Blink 182 rule the airwaves when classic albums like ENTROPY and EVEREST shine? This disc was well worth the 3 year wait. Buy it!"
