Album Description

Kansas City, Missouri is home for these Architects. Vice is their 2008 inspired and inspiring third album. The Architects have asserted their rightful place attop the rock and rock heap where celebreality girlfriends and very long song titles trump skill, song craft and stick-to-itiveness. These guys are gimmick-free and full of vigor, building off of a punk and classic rock blueprint while playing with a heart and authenticity that's become a rarity in 2008. Vice brings to mind a number of big, late 1970s records. For instance, the vintage, melodic hard rock roar of 'Jersery Shore,' holds the keys to Detroit Rock City and feels as exhilarating as a wave crashing down overhead. Elsewhere, 'Continental' is as much about ZZ Top's Deuello as it is about explicit drug tragedies.

"The Architects have a very tight rock sound, they probably rehearse ten hours a day, anyway good guitar riffs with a solid drummer and bass player, and a singer that reminds me every now and then of good old Joe Strummer. The Architects are good at designing and constructing solid Rock Tunes."
