Product DescriptionThe Appalachian Celtic Consort plays music of the Celtic tradition brought to West Virginia by Scottish and Irish immigrants. Come by the Hills, our third CD, contains a mix of jigs, reels, dances and songs played on guitar, whistle, concertina, bodhran, irish bouzouki, mandolin, hammered dulcimer and other acoustic instruments. Our style, while being heavily influenced by traditional Celtic bands, is unique in that it combines current styles of the Appalachian region with those practiced historically in Ireland and Scotland.
