Irreverent pop genius, Anton Barbeau delivers a limited edition CD of rare, homespun rock and power-pop lo-fi classics!... In this day and age of end-of-the-world pre-hysteria, it's almost too easy to throw around terms like outtake, medium-fi and Andy Partridge dub style. Yet, without terms like these, we'd be stuck rambling on about the 4-track work ethic or explaining that we ran out of money during the second verse while doing backing vocals. We'd apologize that the bass was too loud and if it weren't for the damn cat on track twelve, this would've been a huge hit in Brazil/Belgium/wherever and so forth into the night. All apologies and lo-tech terminologies aside, this bundle of odds and almosts has somehow become a proper album in its own right! A popper album, even, which ought to delight the more jangle-headed up-with-everybodys out there. So dig in, innocents and adventurers, and hopefully deeply dig our humble gift to you.
