Dufour won 1st place in the 2006 Canadian Guitar Festival competition, and has toured internationally in support of his first two CDs, Naissance and Development.

Antoine Dufour's third solo cd, Existence, is his best yet by far, with epic compositions that break ground on the instrument and move more towards a progressive rock sound than displayed on his first two CDs, Naissance and Development. Dufours style continues to develop, bounded only by his imagination and his technical dexterity. As he says, "The acoustic guitar is an instrument which has a very rich sound, and offers infinite possibilities to the player."

HEDGES MEETS BENSUSAN

"I have never heard of this guy, but he sounds like a combination of Pierre Bensusan and Michael Hedges. I noticed he used a few Andrew York riffs as well. Very nice and creative guitar playing - love it!"

"The majority of the songs on this album are, in my opinion, the caliber of Mozart. I listen to it at work often on my headphones and it is nothing but the pure dripping mother tincture of audio awesomeness.

Each song is not only complex and full of interesting movement, but, more importantly, they SOUND GOOD and are often moving to the soul. This is rare in the realm of pure guitar.

Many compare Antoine to Andy Mckee, but I really think Antoine is better. Both have amazing technique, but so far only Antoine has created an album that is consistently stellar from start to finish.

This album is truthfully a masterpiece."
