Sway brings pop to the masses
(4 out of 5 stars)
"Okay, so the masses never heard this, but Sway is full of radio ready material poised to take alterna-radio by storm. Frontman Strohm takes his Blake Baby material to new heights with gems "Eyes of a Stranger" and "23". The best song on the album, though, is guitarist Vess Rhutenburg's "Girl Who Fell to Earth"(see United States Three)."

(5 out of 5 stars)
"This is a wonderful, raw, passionate, unpolished gem, chock full of great melodies, rough-but-right-on harmonies, strong songs and solid playing. Garage rock isn't dead yet! Guitarist-songwriter Strohm and drummer Freda Love were formerly with the much more well-known Blake Babies, but I much prefer this little-known band. After a few uniformly appealing releases (of which this was the first), Antenna split up with Strohm forming Velo-Deluxe and releasing a disappointing album, while Love and bassist/guitarist Jacob Smith formed The Mysteries Of Life and released several excellent albums and EPs."
