During the 1950s and 60s Andy Williams Became an institution, millions on both sides of the Atlantic would tune in to his weekly television show, lulled by his cool laid back performances. This CD takes us back furthur in his musical career to when he did a series of radio broadcasts for recruitment to the National Guard. On the CD he is accompanied by a quartet comprising the very talented Hank Jones (p), Mundell Lowe (g), Eddie Safranski (b) and Bobby Rosengarden (d). These very rare recordings are highly collectable.
