From the selection of tunes to the lyrical, intricate lines that Martin plays. Andy Martin is a virtuoso of the trombone and should be considered the heir to the throne of bebop trombone following in the footsteps of jazz luminaries Frank Rosolino and Carl Fontana. In fact the album is dedicated to Frank Rosolino and the title cut is of a feature for Carl Fontana that Carl played when he was with the Stan Kenton band. This is an excellent recording that you will want to play over and over again."
