"let's start this off right...this is a MUST for every collection! andy&denise have put together a cd that not only captures breathatking harmonies wrapped around compelling lyrics, but "sunlight in goodbye", their debut cd, shows an experience and respect for the music itself. Their voices blend together so perfectly, while taking seperate roads, adding layers to every perception and definition. the title track clearly states their case, while "laughing" shows a sense of kinship, comparable to the indigo girls. and throughout, andy fox's guitar work doesn't just compliment the words, but it takes on a third voice all it's own, not unlike tuck andress. and both andy & denise's vocals add multiple dimensions to the pictures they canvas, with denise's strong and subtle passion play crossfiring andy's heartfelt soul searhing. This is most notable on the brilliant "if you could be here now", which takes you places you may never have thought to go, but will never forget. in fact, the whole album is filled with songs you'll be hearing in your head for the rest of your life, including "all of everything" and "something to someone" . their diversity is disguised but significant. two fine examples of that is "erin's song" which brings up the cotrolled inner angst, while "sleep" brings full circle true relatable frustration. after listening to this cd, the only frustration i can see is having to wait for their second cd!"
