Synopsis

Album Description
Amy Fox surfaces with her second release ...From The Underbelly. The riptide and softer side of this rocking, melodic, lyrical collection ride her own wave of avant-garde composition crashing into commercialism. With ...From The Underbelly, Fox reaches out to an audience including anyone touched by the human condition and wraps them in the warmth and nuance of her smooth voice. The movie-like progression of songs, written by Fox and delivered with her characteristic poise, are ripe for AAA, adult contemporary, alternative and mainstream listeners. ...From The Underbelly subtly grooves with "Time To Touch Down", explodes with imagery in "5 Minutes" and "Keeping Time With The Moon" and exudes sophisticated style in "Blissfully Used". The carefree "Do It Again" is playful and pop with the hook of the same name...a sure bet for repeat play!

CD Reviews

Powerwoman Fox Delivers Big-Time!
Bernard Minarik | Quakertown, NJ | 11/10/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Wow! Amy Fox's ". . . From the Underbelly," the second effort from rock's newest powerwoman, oozes emotion without skimping on hard-driving rock 'n' roll. With a sound a little more polished but no less personal than her "Public Offering" debut, Fox continues to deliver, whether she's commenting on the day's issues or displaying her vulnerabilities for all to hear. Each song is a gem! "Down," "Do It Again," "Blissfully Used," "House of Thick Skin," "Human Driftwood" - all standouts. And just when you think it can't get any better, you get hit over the head with the pop masterpiece "Keeping Time With the Moon"! Man, I just want to hug her!Amy Fox is here, baby!"
