CD Reviews

Superb. Very highly recommended

"Just when you thought Amr Diab couldn't possibly release better music, he goes ahead and surprises you! This album is as great as Tamally Maak-Amr's best work to date, in my opinion. There are ballads for your heart, dance tracks for your waist and feet and semi-lounge tracks for any occasion where mellow and sweet music is required. There is definitely a North African/Spanish influence in the music of these 11 songs. The guitar is used in almost every song and Amr's voice has never been better. It's very hard to pick a favorite song since the songs are great in their own right. Having said that, I really feel an affinity to Ya Habibi La. The guitar works like a seductive goddess. The vocals and the lyrics are heart-melting. It's one my all-time-favorite songs. This is a great album to have or to give as a gift. It's best to get it with Tamally Maak to capture Amr's best work from 1999-2003. He is definitely the King of Pop in the Middle East."
WOW!

"He did it again! Amr Diab has done it again. This album is incredible. Not only does this mastermind introduce a different style each time that he has a new album, but he does it successfully-every time! I highly recommend this album for those who like music for the teenage--->35 year old group.
thanks....."

"I purchased this album 4 months ago, and I've been listening to it everyday still. so this is a very good album that won't get you tired, I could say.

I first learned about Amr Diab in 1999 when he came to USA for concerts, I just saw the TV commercial for his show and heard a bit Habibi in the commercial. it was joint concert with a Persian singer "Andy". Subtitle said "Andy & Amr Diab". I thought they were brothers or duo then. I wanted CD with Habibi, but I couldn't find any artists like Andy & Amr Diab, so it took for years for me to finally learn that Andy and Amr Diab are not brothers or even Duo. it caused delay for me to try Amr Diab. the first CD of his I bought was Habibi Remix, It was terrible. (I already wrote about this Amazon review). then this "Aktar Wahed" was the second try. when I heard the Rap part of the first song, I had a bad feeling that this album might be similar to Habibi Remix, but I'm glad that it wasn't what I imagined. I don't know how to say, but this album made me feel as if I met an old friend or something like that. I am Asian, so some oriental flavored sound in this album probably make me feel that way. Then I bought Tamally Maak. I read many reviews by many people in many web sites. everybody said Tamally Maak was great or even perfect, so I really expected, but I didn't feel so much great about Tamally Maak. I liked most of the songs in Tamally Maak, but I think it was because I was into this Aktar Wahed before Tamally Maak, so I could say Aktar Wahed is even better than Tamally Maak??"
