The best of isness in ultraland!
Elan Bodwick | las vegas | 10/17/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Take the last seven years of pyschedelic soundscaping hippie pyschedlia of both the iSness and Alice in ultraland then add some ISDN and alittle Lifeforms and you get this. If youre a fan of this period then you will be blown away. If youre not you should still really check it out as theres some deinite ISDN influence in here- more instrumental and darker at times. Incredible work once again from Gaz and co. I think this may top the Isness and thats no small feat- 18 tracks of out of worldliness with that unmistakable electronic pysche sound of the 60s and early 70s modernized for the new millenium. Tracks 2-12 highlight this new avenue they have been travelling- theres more rythmic drums and loops and more sitar. The albums opener is kind of misleading to what happens after it as it moves into more scattered but beautiful areas- Track 3 has singing etc but is fantastic sounding like dead can dance jamming with george harrison at Abbey Road. Track 4 and 5 sound like ISDn outtakes- great again. Some of the next tracks have a miles davis bitches brew vibe mixed with electronic. Overall its a must own for fans of electronic pyschedlia prog or just someone looking for music that goes beyond expectations."

"I'm very happy with this album, it reminds me of many tunes from the late 60's, early 70's. If you are a fan of The Future Sound of London of the 90's I think there is much to be enjoyed here also.

I give it a thumbs up and 5 stars."
