Synopsis

Album Description
Flutist Jeannine Dennis has established herself as both a dynamic soloist and sensitive ensemble performer. A native of San Jose, she began flute studies at the age of nine and later attended San Jose State University where she studied with Isabelle Chapuis-Starr, a student of the renowned Jean-Pierre Rampal. Dr. Dennis was awarded a full scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati, College -Conservatory of Music. She has served as artist in residence at the Lucca Opera Festival in Lucca, Italy and as an organizer of flute master classes and symposia throughout the United States. Pianist Philip Amalong has earned a reputation as an exciting soloist and collaborator. He performs and records with many principal players from major orchestras in the United States and has appeared as soloist in Italy, Germany, England and France. His solo recording Storia on Eroica Classical Recordings received international critical acclaim and is heard frequently on classical radio stations nationwide. As a composer, his music is heard throughout the world in television and film productions and he composes concert works for various instruments and voice. Mr. Amalong attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he studied with Frank Weinstock and Sandra Rivers. He has been on the faculty of Xavier University and is currently teaching at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
