"A few nights ago, my wife and I were vacationing in Barcelona. It's a beautiful, friendly, amazing, art-filled city, but that's another story... Anyhow, after a day of wandering around soaking it all up, we returned to our hotel room to find that the radio was turned to what I presumed to be the local classical music station. I heard the most incredible sounds coming out of it. I've heard a lot of music in my time, but nothing like this. Orchestras. Choruses. Smashing glass. Pounding, unearthly drums. Passion beyond text. Like Charles Ives meeting Throbbing Gristle in a dark alley. I don't speak Catalan, let alone Spanish but when the announcer came on, I tried to make out what I had just heard. I thought he said Alex Carren's Crystal Night. As soon as we got home - 11 hour flight, customs, 1 hour cab ride - I logged on to Amazon and did a search for it. I'm gleefully ordering it now. If this sounds like your kind of thing, you should too. It's great!"
