Fantastic return by The Almighty
Tony | Reading, England | 06/14/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A fantastic album from a recently reformed Almighty. After the release of 'Just Add Life' Ricky Warwick decided that The Almighty had gone as far as they could and they disbanded, Ricky returning to Ireland to put together a new band. Luckily for us he changed his mind and this album features three out of the four original band members. It is unmistakably The Almighty. There are traces of all the previous albums and some totally new touches. New guitarist Nick Parsons has contibuted quite heavily to the song writing and this is no bad thing. The album opener 'Broken Machine' makes it clear from the very start that the band have lost none of their power with pounding drums and grinding guitars topped off by Ricky's snarling vocals. And from there on it just gets better. Personal favourites include 'Big Black Automatic' ( not a typical Almighty song, but superb none-the-less ), 'White Anger Comedown' which has a very punky feel to it and 'USAK-47'. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who likes their rock heavy and powerful!"
All Loud, All Wild, Almighty!

"If ever a phrase 'Back with a vengeance' could be applied to a band, then it would be The Almighty. This album quite frankly is a massive tour de force from a band that I have followed, since I first saw them on their 'Wild 'n Wonderful' tour back in 1990. New guitarist, Nick Parsons has fitted in perfectly, churning out some fantastic guitar riffs and aiding and abetting Ricky Warwick's song writing. Quite honestly there is not one single track on this album that could be considered a weak link, momentum is maintained throughout, but highlights for me would be 'White Anger Comedown' and 'USAK-47', but in truth this whole album is utterly fantastic. I also had the fortune to see them play some of the album live and boy what a night that was. In summary, if you like your music aggressive and intelligent then you must get this, you won't be sorry!"
The Almighty (name says it all)!

"I actually bought this album by a mistake... But it showed up to be a ... graet album, with a ... great attitude. The first song "Broken Machine!" blew me out of my sofa, and then became even better songs and better songs to the end. This is one of the greatest albums I own. If you like metal or punk, you wont be disapointed to this album..."
