CD Reviews

Alizée is still great
Roman | Rancho Cordova, CA | 12/12/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A year ago I discovered Alizée and fell in love with her beautiful voice and personality. I understood no French, but that didn't matter. My adoration of Alizée continues to encourage me to learn. She has worked with many different artists now and her songs range across a variety styles, especially on this new album. From melancholy melodies, soulful ballads, fun pop rock, even a little Alizée style rap, and more. It will surprise you. Do a web search if you need more info and check out her official website for samples. Or just buy this CD! For those who do know French, there's a dual disk version that comes with a little story video about the album on a DVD, narrated by principal lyricist Jean Fauque. Check that out too."

End thoughts: I was browsing Amazon listmania and kept seeing this girl listed as a very popular artist. So I gave it a shot. I was blown away by what I heard. Nearly every track on this album is very addictive except for only a few. I can strongly agree & recommend that Alizee should be your first French Pop artist you listen to if your new to it like I am."
Mediocre at best
Aeronomer | Texas | 01/09/2008

"Huge fan but I have to be honest. "Mademoiselle Juliette", "Fifty Sixty", and "Par Les Paupières" are the only songs I like. The rest of it bores me to tears. So about a third of the album is good and the rest is lame in my opinion. Definitely a disappointment."
