Herrmann scored Taxi Driver and It's Alive (1, the first one) back to back, just before passing away. The music from It's Alive, and cues not used in that first film, were used to score It's Alive 2. This is good news, even if not what Herrmann intended, because the only soundtracks available for It's Alive were poor, mono aural bootlegs. So, you get a pretty decent recording here in stereo. For fans of Herrmann, the music is pretty good and adds much punch and tension to an otherwise mediocre film."
