CitizenT | Utah, USA | 11/06/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "For any fan of the power and song-writing of PJ Harvey, the dark filled lyrics and off-beat musical talent of Alina Simone will seem familiar...and welcomed. But Alina sings from a different place...her latest 'Placelessness' seems to come from an urban landscape that is recognizable, but not quite your own. There is a very tangible emotion to her music and lyrics, but it also leaves one guessing...searching. Dark and mysterious, but hopeful at the same time. Definitely worth supporting this talented artist...after all, once you hear her you will agree, there is so much more to come from Alina Simone.
