"These cuts from the late sixties are a record of Alex at his best. That does not mean that the cuts are well produced, well recorded, or cleanly performed. That wasn't Alex. The music is blues derived dirty and low-down. You should keep this in your cd player for a few days to learn every song before you decide for yourself that Alexis Korner deserves his reputation as the father of us all."
