Synopsis

Album Description
Everyone is familiar with his Worldwide hits. 'To All The Girls I?ve Loved Before' (Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson), 'It Never Rains In Southern California', 'Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now' (Starship), 'The Air That I Breathe' (The Hollies, Jose Feliciano, Phil Everly, Olivia Newton John, Simply Red, Barry Manilow), 'Good Morning Freedom' (Elton John), 'When I Need You' (Leo Sayer) and 'One Moment In Time' (Whitney Houston) - they were all written by Albert Hammond. His songs have also been sung by artists like Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Nancy Sinatra, Rod Stewart and Jose Carreras, but the list could go on and on....But his fame is not founded in his success as a songwriter, it?s his success as a musician that we know him for. During the mid and late 70´s, it seemed like the waters around him had stilled. But that?s a mirage. He began a second career in his chosen homeland Spain, which stemmed from his Gibraltar childhood, and with My Spanish Album began what was to be a series of Spanish language albums. His career as songwriter was to follow as his third job in music. On top of all that, he wanted to spend more time with his son, Albert Hammond Jr..The father´s talent obviously spilled over to his son, who is now famous Worldwide as the guitarist of The Strokes. After a few years without a solo release, 2005 is the perfect time for another Albert Hammond CD. The album is a collection of charmingly charismatic personal songs, the work of a master of the traditional singer-songwriter school, and performed without a net so to speak. There are no overdubs or technical tricks to be found on the entire album. From the beginning, Albert Hammond wanted to write and play music that one can perform on stage. And with that in mind, the release of Revolution Of The Heart will be accompanied by various live concerts - and Mr. Hammond is a phenomenon live. As always, he brings a unique message across from the stage, driven by the album that proudly presents both the romantic and rebelliousness of it?s title. And a revolution of the heart can be nothing less. SPV. 2005.
