Better than the game!

"I was bought AOE3 Collector's Edition as a Christmas present. I was surprised to see soundtrack CD's included. I thought you would need to be a real fanatic to want to listen ot theme music from a computer game. I never bothered listening to the CD's.



Even after playing the game for a while my tendency to get distracted by the gameplay meant I did not appreciate the music. However I did give the CD's a listen eventually and was blown away.



I have a collection of over 50 mainly movie soundtracks from composers like Henry Mancini, John Williams, George Bruns, Maurice Jarre and Ennio Morricone and this is as good if not better than any of their efforts.



I find some of the track names inappropriate but I guess they were chosen to reflect where they are used in the game.
