CD Reviews

One word: Wow

"If you're an old fan of Early November or I Can Make a Mess: this album is a must-have. If you're a casual listener: check it out, you won't be disappointed. If you're Ace Enders: nice, nice job. From start to end, the album has it all; in fact, way more than you'll get from most artists. "Reaction" deserves to be a hit, hands down. "Reintroduction" is a brilliant opening. And no other track is worth skipping. This is the first album in a long time thats made me turn off the shuffle mode on my iPod."

"Ace Enders is a synonym for awesome, that hasn't changed. Cheesy at times, but always earnest and often refreshingly positive - it's good to hear something genuine these days that's not all wrapped up in irony and shame. At first I thought this album was a little overproduced, compared to his usual stripped-down sound (check out his free EP, The Secret Wars, which has excellent alternate versions of a couple of these songs), but being able to rock along with this in the car fully makes up for any loss of subtlety. It's good to have music for those quiet nights alone with headphones on, and Ace has still got that going on, but it's also nice to have something you can play for your friends at a party."
