Synopsis

Album Description
"Sugar", aalacho's debut release, is simultaneously stylish, cerebral, cinematic, and hypnotic. Particularly inspired by modern rock icons Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, Brian Eno and Pale Saints, as well as electronic trailblazers New Order, Underworld, Buffalo Daughter and Massive Attack, Scott creates a myriad of atmospheric sounds and grooves on Sugar. Guitarists Brendan Titrud (Poseur) and Sam Mcllivan (Tryst, The Davenports) lend their textural and harmonic expertise to the title track, "Thinking About U," "Send It In A Letter," "I Oughta Know" and "In Your Hands," while vocalist Holly Ayster brings her punk/grunge stylings to bear on the bouncy electro-influenced "Mr. Monster" and singer/songwriter Hannah Vaughn shines throughout a detached IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) rendition of Fleetwood Mac?s classic "Sara."

"and a refreshing addition to electronica. I can't recommend this album enough, particularly if you're an Underworld fan."
