Not a bad listen....

"I usually like to listen to 7L & Esoteric and beats from the Beyonder are never bad, but I had very high expectations for this album. Maybe I was wrong to come into 'Vinyl Thug Music' with such high hopes, but how can you not after hearing such past classic albums from 7L & Esoteric such as 'The Soul Purpose.' Whatever the case, 7L & Esoteric seem to have to share the spotlight on this album, as it is more a compilation rather than a solid album. We get guest-appearances-galore on 'Thug Vinyl Music' from the likes of Celph Titled, Killah Priest, Karma, Big Scoobs and God's Son, and on an album of 17 tracks, 7L & Esoteric only come together for 3 songs. The rest of the tracks are other artists contributing to the calabo. The best cuts on the album are definitely "That's Absurd," "Mercy Killing," "Blitz Inc.," and "Last Real Nigga Alive," and even then, none of these songs are that special. Overall, the album is listenable and definitely worth an ear or two, but in the end, maybe there shouldn't be anything "thug" about 'Thug Vinyl Music.'"
