THE BEST CHILD SINGER EVER-NO CONTEST

"When I listen to child singers holler and try to hit high notes today I think they're trying to hard to impress. In fact if you have to do that to impress you're really not much of a singer no matter how much older adults hop out of their seats and cheer you on today- you just don't have it. Listen to 14 to 15 year old Frankie Lymon you kid wannabes out there. Frankie was blessed with the voice of an angel. More beautiful and melodic than a young Stevie Wonder or a young Michael Jackson-they just couldn't compare-albeit they were both great kid singers. Frankie never ever had to holler to impress-listen to the classic ballads 'Out in the cold again" or "The creation of love" and you'll hear pure artistry at it's finest. Also on one of the other greatest hits cd's listen to "Goody Goody" and his version of "Little Girl" and you will be absolutely amazed that a 15 year old could harness so much control and range. Frankie was such a marvelous singer at 14 that I include him with the other greats of the era such as Clyde McPhatter,Sam Cooke,Little Willie John,Brook Benton,Roy Hamilton, and Jackie Wilson. He has every right to be included among this elite group of great singers of that period in Rock history and I'm pretty doggone sure we will never have another 14 year old kid come down the pike that sounds so good.He was truly one of a kind."
