Synopsis

Album Description
We're going back to the underground, no more of this corporate crap. This is Nintendo Punk from the streets. Strategy Guide is a 26-stage informative CD to play at your 2012 graduation party. Mix a bee, a mountain man, an addict, a sombrero, and a street fighter, and you have a recipe to P-A-R-T-Y. Don't worry about the NES Youth Crew '92 crashing the party and Ico throwing up on the couch, cuz it's summer and you're hanging out with your friends, playing Pong and eating Cheetos. Even when your neighbor complains, this party is never ending. Just stick a dead fish in his mail box. Then go inside, put on this record, and play Ikaruga with that kid you've had a crush on since last semester in science class. You wont need any spells tonight, because everyone wants to make out with you, especially the 14 Year Old Girls.

CD Reviews

An excellent sophmore effort

"I can honestly say I had no idea of what to expect when I purchased the album. I had heard of them through Electronic Gaming Monthly, and decided that I'd like to hear their music. After listening to this album for over a week now, I can say that the 14 year-old girls certainly deliver the goods. The music on the album is very catchy, and they demonstrate real musical ability, though you may not think so when you first hear it. But listen to the album a while, and you'll begin to understand what I mean. The drums on this album are played off of a keyboard, no question. But interestingly enough, they use real guitars. The guitarist is certainly no slouch, with a particular stand-out track called "Yoshi egg breakfast," serving as proof. The female lead singer also impresses, staying melodic over the driving rythm of the songs. My only complaint about the album would be the vocals, interestingly enough. The vocals are buried in the mix, so reading the lyric sheet is almost required when you first listen to the album. I don't think I need to say anything about the bands humor, their name alone let's you know that you'll be in for a laugh or two. If the idea of punk music with a lyrical focus of video gaming interests you, pick this album up."
