"You've gotta have the 12th man cd's in your collection. Some of his jokes at first sound a bit dry,but they kind of stick with you,and you end up walking around saying What A Catch and A Marvellous Effort That! The situations he creates are very humorous. He loves hanging it on Bill and Tony.Great stuff."
Hilarious!

"A great album. Australian comedian Billy Birmingham (aka the 12th Man) does an hilarious take of Bill Lawry, Tony Greig, Richie Benaud, and the rest of Australia's Channel Nine commentary team in this special release packaged for the UK market. The two albums packaged here are called "12th Man Again/Still the 12th Man" in Australia, and the "Just Not Cricket" track from the 1980's appears on the "Wired World of Sports" compilation. So if you're an Aussie who already has those, there's no reason to get this.

But anyway, on to the album. It's Just Not Cricket was the first major release by the 12th Man, and it's bloody hilarious. Richie goes through a wrap up of the scorecard for the day's play, with Sri Lankan players such as "Shewanda Piasuriya". The 1990 release of "12th Man Again" is included, with hilarious musings from not only Richie and Tony, but Bill, Max, and Geoff in the control room. Probably one of the better releases in the 12th Man's catalogue is included here, the 1992 release "still the 12th man". It follows a day in the life of Richie, with a hijacking of the commentary box by Bill and Tony, as well as Richie being locked in with Max, taking a SWAT team to get him out of there."

"For those who appreciate the subtlety and sometimes crude humour that is so popular in the UK and all over the world, this is an absolute must. Very "Alan Partridge" like in presentation, it is a spoof on real life commentary on sports and the personalities behind the scenes. It can be offensive if you are over sensitive, but if like myself you are more interested in the pure comedy instead of political correctness, put this at the top of your shopping list. It's a cracker!"
